Humans of Portland (2013 - 2014)
During the summer of 2013, I discovered Brandon Stanton's Humans of New York.
I felt a deep desire to experience the world this way myself -- to connect authentically with people in an instant, to be curious with an intent to understand, and to have the opportunity to share these interactions with others.
So, I set out on the streets of Portland with a camera in my hands and simply began.

Humans of Portland, consisting of nearly 700 portraits, was originally a daily social media blog shared on Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram. The project, at its peak, had 50,000 followers across all three platforms.
