As we create narratives about our life experiences, there is a gravity and delicacy to pursuing an expression of truth. How do we, as storytellers, trust our version of reality, when it is subjective and variable? Despite efforts to approach the world objectively, we must acknowledge that our perceptions of truth and reality are influenced by emotional bias, a limited view, and will likely change over time, as we change.
Ghosts and Stories I Tell Myself is a memoir of a period of deep searching for truth in experiences that held significance for me as well as uncertainty and volatility. These images are an expression of my journey toward acceptance of ambiguity and mystery, alongside a willful human tendency to seek exactness and definition.
